Frequently Asked Questions
Can I connect my primary domain?
We don't recommend it. Connecting a domain moves its nameservers to Deliveryman, so any mailboxes or website already on it will stop working. Use a separate domain for cold email, such as a variation of your brand name.
Which DNS records do you set up?
Deliveryman manages the domain's NS and MX records and sets up SPF, DKIM, DMARC and reverse DNS (PTR) for you, all aligned with your From address.
How many mailboxes can I create?
Every domain you connect gets 3 sending subdomains with 5 email accounts on each, so 15 mailboxes per domain. There's no per-mailbox fee on any plan, so adding a domain is all it takes to add mailboxes.
Can I choose the sender names?
Yes. Pick a country and get a random mix of names, or only female or male names. You can also add up to 4 custom names, and edit any sender name or email address before the mailboxes are created.
How long does setup take?
Your part takes a few minutes: add the domain, update its nameservers and pick sender names. Nameserver changes usually propagate in 1 to 3 minutes, and in rare cases take up to an hour. Everything finishes in the background, and we email you when propagation is complete.
What do visitors see if they type my sending domain?
You can set a redirection on the domain, so anyone who visits it lands on your main website.
What happens if my DNS records change later?
We check your SPF, DKIM and DMARC records every day. If a domain's nameservers change, we pause its active campaigns and notify you, so a broken setup can't hurt your deliverability.
Do I need to warm up new mailboxes myself?
No. Domain reputation building and email warmup start automatically once setup finishes, and keep running as your campaigns start and pause.
